When I was a UX writer for Android, I worked on updates to location settings for Android 12. These updates included terminology (precise versus approximate) and labels that are used throughout the operating system.

To bring Android in better alignment with Chrome and address user feedback, I updated "Denied" to "Not allowed" within Android's permission pages and "Deny" to "Don't allow" within our runtime permission dialogs. This seems like a small change, but it brought parity between two Google products that both have over a billion users.
