For the launch of Android 12, I was the UX writer for Now Playing, a feature that allows Android devices to passively identify songs playing nearby. Because the feature has privacy sensitivities and wasn't immediately understood by users, we addressed research about what gets sent to Google and clearly communicated what the feature does.
